To operate your safe for the first time, you may need to remove the shipping screw, located on the inside of the door. For additional assistance, watch our how-to video explaining this task. To open your safe, make sure the handle is positioned UPWARD in the horizontal position. Then, locate the owner's manual. Your 3-number combination will be found on the back. This safe is set to "54-25-93." Start with the dial set to zero. From zero, rotate the dial clockwise past the first number in your combination TWO times, stopping on the number the THIRD time. Next, rotate the dial counterclockwise past the second number in your combination ONCE, stopping on the number the second time. Then, rotate the dial clockwise directly to the third number in your combination. Rotate the handle downward to the 7 o'clock position, and open the door. Be sure to test your combination several times, with the door in the OPEN position, prior to closing and locking your safe. To lock your safe, close the door. Pull the handle upward UPWARD to the horizontal position and rotate the dial clockwise at least two times to scramble the combination. For additional how-to videos, please visit SentrySafe.com

Can you open Sentry Safe with just the key?If your safe has a keyhole, insert the key completely and rotate it clockwise to the "Unlock" position. Once you turn the key, pull it out of your safe.
Why won't my key open my Sentry Safe?If the key doesn't seem to open the Sentry Safe, it may have been turned in the wrong direction. Insert the Sentry key in the keyhole and turn it counter-clockwise as opposed to clockwise.
