Reorder Checks

We have recently changed check vendors, and are now using Main Street Inc. If you have not ordered checks recently, we will need to place the order for you. Or, if you wish, our friendly staff at any branch location would be happy to place the order for you.

Overdraft Privilege

Automated Overdraft Privilege is another convenience, and another good reason, for banking with First National Bank. Automated Overdraft Privilege will provide you with the ability to overdraw your account, up to $500 for Personal Checking accounts.

This Automated Overdraft Privilege is extended to you to provide additional flexibility and convenience in managing your funds, and to provide you with peace of mind knowing your checks will be honored up to your assigned overdraft privilege limit.

We are not obligated to pay any item present for payment if your account does not contain sufficient collected funds. However, if you maintain your account in good standing defined as: A) making regular deposits; B) bringing your account to a positive end-of-day balance every 30 days or less; and C) there are no legal orders outstanding, we will approve your reasonable overdrafts as a non-contractual courtesy. We will approve an overdraft for you in an amount for the type of account that you have opened. This limit includes our non-sufficient funds and/or overdraft (NSF/OD) charges of $37.50 per item beginning with the first item that overdraws your account balance by more than $25.00. Accounts must be open for more than 30 days with regular deposits made. However, the overdrawn account must be brought to a positive balance within 30 days to avoid revoking the overdraft privilege. At the bank's discretion, we may refuse to pay an overdraft for you at any time, even though we may have previously paid overdrafts for you. Overdraft fees may apply to overdrafts created by check, in person withdrawals or other electronic means.

CDARS – Certificate of Deposit Account Registry Service

CDARS is the easiest and most convenient way to receive full FDIC insurance on deposit amounts larger than $100,000.00. Everything is handled through our bank. Your large deposit is broken into smaller amounts and placed with other banks that are members of a special network. Then, those member banks issue CDs in amounts under $100,000, so that your entire investment is eligible for FDIC insurance. By working with just one bank – First National Bank – you can receive insurance from many. With CDARS, you earn one rate on your entire investment. You receive one statement listing all of your CDs, along with the issuing banks, maturity dates, interest earned, and other details. It’s that simple.
