Crews will be removing the pavement surface to prepare for repaving on E Belknap St from Calhoun to the E Turnaround and Weatherford St from Commerce to the E Turnaround November 28th, with paving at these locations will begin later in the week, weather permitting. A well loved hotspot for happy hours and dinner with friends, West Seventh Street has a way of attracting a younger crowd, and for good reason. Its walkability, friendly atmosphere, and variety of dining options and bars — second to none in the city — are what make this area awesome. So awesome you can happily make a whole day out of it.

Tackle your morning at Righteous Foods, the restaurant that claims to have “healthy food that tastes like it’s bad for you.” Luckily, the food does in fact live up to the hype (I speak from experience).
Order an acai bowl topped with house-made maple granola if you're into that, or take the savory route with the Swine Burrito filled with organic eggs, queso chihuahua, and uncured bacon — all in a hearty whole wheat tortilla. Another option is the Brekkie Bowl, made with turmeric, organic poached eggs, kale, quinoa, tomato preserves and goat cheese. The Haus Waffle can be topped with mixed berries, chocolate and banana, lemon marscapone, or almond butter.
Alternate sweet bites with sips of cappuccino, cold brew or a lavender latte. After polishing off your plate, make the two-minute drive across the street and park close to Crockett Row.

Some light exercise never hurt anyone. Especially when it's this much fun.
If you go inside the hallway on the south side of West Seventh Street, running parallel to Crockett Row, you will find one of 46 Fort Worth BCycle Stations. With a quick swipe of your credit card, you can rent a bike for a $1.25 per hour, or pay $8 for the whole day. (All the men out there — consider this my cheap date idea gift to you. You're welcome.)
Once you've checked out a bike, take a ride around the area. After you've cruised to your heart's content, cycle down West Seventh to Trinity Park and dock your bike at the West Seventh and Stayton BCycle Station.

Gear down from your bike ride while exploring the northernmost part of Trinity Park. To the right of the BCycle Station is the Fort Worth Police and Firefighters Memorial; take a minute to reflect and admire the beautiful bronze sculpture. Continuing along the path, you will end up walking alongside the Trinity River.
On your way there, you'll pass the Trinity River Duck Pond, a shaded oasis that's out of the heat. Kick your feet up on a bench, and do some daydreaming (or lunch dreaming).

By this point, your stomach will be telling you that it's about that time. Walk back to Crockett Row, and near the center of the development on the corner of the four way stop is the Social House, a West Seventh gem that’s never not busy. From its lively outdoor patio and made-from-scratch menu, to its 100 beers on tap, the Social House has plenty of options that make for satisfying lunches.
Savor the shaved ribeye steak sandwich that's topped with caramelized onions, poblanos, and garlic aioli, or go for one of its burgers like the Smoky BBQ Burger, made with 100 percent angus beef, stacked with applewood smoked bacon, smoked provolone cheese and house-made BBQ sauce.
For a good dose of comfort food, order the Texas Shrimp & Grits or the Slow-Roasted Rosemary Bourbon Butter Chicken.

Re-energized and ready to hit the shops, head down Crockett Row to Climate. The outdoors store carries clothing and accessories for the mountain, the beach and everywhere in between. Got a sweet tooth? Dude, Sweet Chocolate makes artisan dark chocolates just as funky as its name, and Savor Pâtisserie, right across the street, sells French macarons with classic flavors like chocolate, caramel and raspberry, as well as novelties like honey, s’mores and champagne.
Take a walk down to Foch Street and check out There's No Place Like Home Furniture, a home decor shop; Urban Outfitters, known for hipster clothing; and Backwoods, an outdoor clothing and adventure gear store. As stores begin closing doors for their evening, it’s time to get ready — yours is just getting started.

We're talkin' your choice of fresh avocado, roasted corn, cilantro, marinated feta, citrus mint vinaigrette and tender grilled chicken or a plate of twice battered chicken, chorizo cheddar biscuits with “Chuck Norris” gravy. That is, we're talkin' dinner at Mash'D, a restaurant that serves American meals with a hillbilly twist.

Calling all night owls: if you want to keep the fun going, you're in luck. You just happen to be in the middle of one of Fort Worth's most expansive bar scenes.
Escape the feeling of the urban village at America Gardens, a park-like patio one block away from Crockett Row. Order American-themed drinks like the Ben Franklin, the Clint Eastwood or the Marilyn Monroe, and play backyard games like football bowling. Nearby is Varsity Tavern, a sports bar where you can play more games and take in a panoramic view of the city from its rooftop patio. Find Bar Louie, another rooftop patio bar, at the corner of West Seventh Street and Norwood Street.
Farther away off of Matisse Drive is Barcadia, which is exactly what it sounds like: a mix of a bar and an arcade — so if you’ve always dreamed of playing skeeball and air hockey while drinking an IPA, now you can.
The West Seventh area abounds in cool bars and hangouts with good vibes that are just waiting to be discovered. So is it the weekend yet?
