LensDirect sells replacement lenses in pairs only. The material, color, and AR coating may be slightly different than the lenses that are currently installed. To avoid any possible discomfort or distortion we advise replacing both lenses.
What frames are eligible for DIY Lens Replacement?
Although we are able to replace the lenses for almost any frame, some are not able to be shipped without sending in the frame. If you are unable to locate your brand of sunglasses, no worries! You can either start a lens replacement order here, or reach out to our customer support team at 800-536-7111.
What are LensDirect Lenses made out of?
Our non-prescription sunglass lenses are all produced from impact resistant polycarbonate. Polycarbonate lenses are extremely durable while offering exceptional optics, perfect for any pair of sunglasses!
What if my lenses don't fit?
In the unfortunate event that the lenses you have received do not fit please reach out to our amazing customer support team, either by phone at 800-536-7111, or by email at [email protected] Please provide the frame details, normally listed on the inside of the temples, as well as any pictures to show the sizing issue. Although we will do our best to send out new lenses, we may ask that the frame be sent in for a perfect fit!
How to check if you received polarized lenses
The easiest way to see if you have polarized lenses is by utilizing a nearby electronic screen such as a phone, computer monitor, or TV. Hold up the lens to any powered-on screen and rotate it slowly. As the lens is rotated there should come a point where the electronic screen appears darker or blacked out. This effect will only happen on polarized lenses.
What if the lens color doesn't look right?
The lenses provided may appear to be a slightly different color. This is due to changes in lighting as well as differences between batches. You may find lenses more transparent in normal lighting, but much darker and reflective in sunlight. This is perfectly normal with mirror coated lenses.
Why does the bevel on my new lenses look different?
The lenses we ship are custom made to work with your frame and be replaced with ease. Although the edge or bevel may look differently, you should find that the lenses pop in securely with ease.
My sunglasses aren't listed, can I still get lenses?
No worries! We can provide new lenses for almost every frame. If you don't see your frame listed, please click here and begin your order. We will require that the frame be sent in for the best possible fit.
Are your lenses OEM (Original Manufacturer) lenses?
We are not affiliated with any of the frame manufacturers and do not provide the same lenses. Our lenses are designed to fit those frames and provide great quality and durability at a price point that works for everyone.
My sunglasses are broken, can you repair them?
Unfortunately we are unable to repair broken frames at this time. We do offer a wide variety of frames at affordable prices which can be found here.
My frames are missing screws, can you replace them?
We will do our best to replace any missing screws. We are unable to promise screws for every frame, as some are unique and proprietary. In the event that we cannot complete the order, we will return your frames and we will refund the order if it was charged.
Will you return my case/lenses?
We kindly ask that you do not ship the case with your frames. The packaging we provide is sufficient in protecting your frames. We will do our best to return both the case and the original lenses.
Are the blue light lenses yellow or clear?
Our Blue Light Lenses have a very subtle yellow tint to them. This tint gives our lenses the blue light blocking properties.
Blue Light is high-energy light that screens emit. Studies show overexposure to Blue Light may be linked to eye strain, increased risk of macular degeneration, and sleep cycle disruption. Our lenses help filter Blue Light, particularly the highest energy wavelengths of 400-440 nm.
Can my lenses still be scratched?
AR coated lenses will not be scratch proof, however they will be significantly more resilient to light scratches. LensDirect does offer a 90 day scratch and coating warranty at no cost to you.
