Evolutionary Performance™

OEMs continue to evolve hydraulic equipment and pump designs. Pumps get smaller and power output increase and the lubricants performance demands rise. Escalating power density leads to higher operating temperatures and pressures. One brand has evolved right alongside today’s equipment – MAG 1®. Only the most advanced industrial lubricants meet the difficult challenges of effectively balancing performance, strength and durability.

Superior Protection

MAG 1® hydraulic oils are designed to help improve uptime, reduce costs and increase productivity. Our hydraulic oils offer energy-efficient benefits and improved performance across a wide range of temperatures. They specifically designed to meet the demands of high-pressure, industrial and mobile equipment hydraulic systems. Formulated to provide 5,000 hours of oxidation stability.

Powerful Anti-Friction, Anti-Wear Chemistry

MAG 1® provides outstanding control of friction and wear. Advanced molecules bond together to create a wear-resistant shield that works to build barriers that reduce friction and wear.

Withstands the Most Extreme Conditions

MAG 1® Anti-Wear Hydraulic Oils provide unsurpassed protection even in the harshest conditions to fight oxidation, separate air and water and improve filtration.

What is AW ISO 32 hydraulic oil used for?

ISO 32, 46 and 68 grades are most commonly used for hydraulics with vane-, piston-, or gear-type pumps, especially where pressures exceed 1000 psi. They can also be used to lubricate lightly loaded reciprocating compressors.

What does ISO 32 mean in hydraulic oil?

Instead of being rated using the SAE scale, they're measured under the ISO scale. ISO grades measure viscosity at 104°F(40°C). When you look at, for instance, ISO 32 hydraulic oil it will flow much more quickly than ISO 68 hydraulic oil. Different viscosities are better for different applications in the field.

What is the difference between ISO and AW hydraulic oil?

Looking at the above array of oils: R&O stands for rust and oxidation - mineral oils with improved anti-rust and anti-oxidation properties. The ISO classification for these oils is HL. AW stands for anti-wear - R&O oils with an anti-wear additive package.

What is the equivalent of ISO 32 oil?

SAE 10W is equivalent to ISO 32, SAE 20 is equivalent to ISO 46 and 68, and SAE 30 is equivalent to ISO 100.
