How to turn alarm volume down on iphone

Hi,

Running an iPhone 6 with 8.1.2.

Somehow the Alarm volume got set at a very, very high loudness level. I can’t seem to find a way to tone it down.

VoiceOver volume is moderate and readily adjustable. Siri volume is good. Ringer volume is set in settings to 35 % and adjusting volume with buttons is turned off.

How can I turn down the volume on my Alarm?

Hi Keith,

When you select your alarm tone it will play and while it is playing I believe you just use the volume up/down keys to adjust it to the level you like and it will then play at that volume when it goes off.

I am not 100% certain this is so, but I’m pretty sure.

Also, the alarm sound is one of the alerts in Settings, Sounds. In the Alerts and Ringers Section, double-check the "change with buttons" setting. If it's off, you won't be able to change the alarm volume with the buttons. You can change it with the slider in the Sounds settings, though.

So you're saying that the alarm volume is tied to the ringer volume? That kind of bites. I have change with buttons turned off, as I want my ringer volume to stay the same, no matter how much I fiddle with the volume buttons.

How To Change Alarm Sound on iPhone?

Alarms can be configured from the Clock app. From the lower menu tap on the second option to view the current alarm. To set a new one tap on the + icon on the top right side. 1. Go to Clock App
2. Tap on Second Option “Alarm”
3. Tap on Setup next to your alarm.
4. Set Repeat to “Never”
5. Drag the Snooze Slider to left.

By doing this the alarm will only ring once. When you press any key to turn off the alarm it will not bug you again. So if you are sure enough that you will wake up on one ring, or more confident that no alarm can wake you then apply the above settings. Or else it is better to leave Snooze on, to avoid missing the wake-up time.
