After successful configuration you will be able to transfer photos / videos from your Sony camera to your iPhone / iPad over Wi-Fi. PhotoSync also enables shoot & transfer (wireless tethering): Photos & videos are transferred to your iPhone / iPad right after shooting. Step 1Open the Wi-Fi/Network menu of your camera and select the “Send to Smartphone”option and confirm your selection with the Enter button. Fig. 1. Sony: Wi-Fi Function AttentionIf you want to use Shoot & Transfer (wireless tethering) select the "Ctrl w/Smartphone" option instead of "Send to Smartphone". Shoot & Transfer immediately transfers photos to your iPhone/iPad right after pressing the shutter button and optionally also to remote locations like computer, NAS and cloud. If your camera does not offer "Ctrl w/Smartphone", please start the "Smart Remote Control" from the "Application List" and ensure the latest version of the "Smart Remote Control" is installed. Some Sony cameras also support the download of RAW photos using the "Smart Remote Control". Now select “Send to Smartphone". This screen is optional and does not exist on all cameras. Fig. 1.1. If you prefer to select the photos/videos for download on your camera instead of the iPhone/iPad, choose „Select on This Device“. Fig. 2. Sony – Wi-Fi Password display Step 4Take your iPhone / iPad, open the system settings and touch Wi-Fi. Select the Sony (here: DIRECT-BFC4:ZV1) Wi-Fi network.
