If you turn off your passcode or Touch ID, or sign out of iCloud, your credit and debit cards will automatically be removed from your device. You can always add them again at a later date.

iPhone

From the Wallet app: 

  1. Open the Wallet app
  2. Select the card you’d like to remove
  3. Tap on the Info

  4. Tap Remove Card at the bottom of your screen.

From Settings:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Scroll down and tap Wallet & Apple Pay
  3. Select the card you’d like to remove
  4. Tap Remove Card at the bottom of your screen.

Apple Watch

  1. Open the Watch app on your iPhone
  2. Go to the My Watch tab
  3. Scroll down and tap Wallet & Apple Pay
  4. Select the card you’d like to remove
  5. Tap Remove Card at the bottom of your screen.

iPad

  1. Open Settings
  2. Scroll down and tap Wallet & Apple Pay
  3. Select the card you’d like to remove
  4. Tap Remove Card at the bottom of your screen.

MacBook Pro with Touch ID

  1. Open System Preferences
  2. Select Wallet & Apple Pay
  3. Select the card you’d like to remove
  4. Click the minus (–) icon to remove the card.

You can remove a card from Apple Pay at any time, the process is slightly different for each device.

iPhone or iPad
  • Go to Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay, tap the card that you want to remove, then scroll down and tap Remove This Card
  • Or open Wallet app, tap a card, tap the three dots, then scroll down and tap Remove This Card
Apple Watch
  • On the iPhone, open the Apple Watch app, and go to the My Watch tab
  • Scroll down, tap Wallet & Apple Pay, tap the card, then scroll down and tap Remove This Card
  • Or tap Wallet on the Home screen of your Apple Watch, tap a card, press it firmly, and tap Remove Card
Macs with Touch ID
  • Go to System Preferences > Wallet & Apple Pay. 
  • Click the card that you want to remove, then click the minus (–) sign to remove the card.

If your physical card is closed it will be automatically removed from your Apple Wallet and you will not be able to make transactions with that card on your device.

To remove your Debit Card on iPhone 6 or later, iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 or later, select “Remove Card” in the “Wallet & Apple Pay” section of your device “Settings” or on the back of your Card in the Wallet app.

To remove your Debit Card on Apple Watch, go to “Wallet” on your Apple Watch device, select your Debit Card then hold and tap “Delete” to remove your Debit Card. Additionally, you can remove your Debit Card using the Apple Watch app on your iPhone. Open the Apple Watch app, select “Wallet & Apple Pay”, then select your Debit Card and navigate to the bottom and tap “Remove Card.” 

You can also visit icloud.com/settings to remove your Debit Card or Find My iPhone to temporarily suspend or permanently remove the ability to pay with your Cards on your device.

Apple Pay is an incredibly convenient way to pay for things directly on your iPhone. But what if you want to remove a card from Apple’s secure payment service?

There can be a number of scenarios where this is necessary, from a card expiring to the closing and moving of a bank account. In such scenarios, you really don’t want old or obsolete digital cards getting in the way at the checkout.

Sometimes, a card can get stuck in verification limbo, and your best bet is simply to remove it and start again.

Fortunately, it’s extremely easy to remove a card from Apple Pay. Here is how it’s done.

    Your cards will be listed at the top of the Wallet & Apple Pay section. Tap the card you wish to remove.

    Scroll down to the bottom of the card page and tap the final Remove This Card button, followed by Remove. Your card will now disappear.

When you receive a new card, you’ll need to remove the old one and set up the replacement as a new card.
