How to set up Siri on an iPhone or iPad

You'll need to perform this setup on each device you own. If you have both an iPhone and an iPad, for example, you should repeat this process on both devices.

1. On your iPhone or iPad, start the Settings app and tap Siri & Search.

2. Turn on Listen for "Hey Siri" by swiping the button to the right.

3. In the pop-up window, tap Enable Siri, which will launch the Set Up "Hey Siri" window.

3. Tap the switch at the top to turn it green and enable "Listen for 'Hey, Siri'"

4. Your iPhone will prompt you to set up "Hey, Siri" — tap "Continue"

Under "Listen for 'Hey, Siri'" you'll see an option that says "Press Side Button for Siri" (or, if you have an iPhone model that still has a "Home" button, it'll say "Press Home Button for Siri."
