Our People

So what is it really like to work here? Let our people tell you. They know firsthand what makes this a world-class workplace.

“I started as an intern at NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn seven years ago and now work in outpatient rehab, treating patients from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. I’ve helped develop the Communication Group at NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn so that patients with communication difficulties can interact with and receive support from each other. I am very passionate about seeing patients with neurogenic communication disorders and dysphagia achieve their goals after brain injury or stroke. There’s no better feeling than having a patient leave the room smiling with the sense that they’ve accomplished something!”

“Many of our patients are new immigrants who speak very little English. I am honored to treat this population. Not only because it is both challenging and rewarding, but because I was once new to the country as an immigrant from Hong Kong at the age of 16. Coming to work every day is somewhat like going on a medical mission. It touches my heart how NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn accommodates Brooklyn’s diverse community. We work as a team with one ultimate goal to bring the best service to our patients.”
