HABLAMOS ESPAÑOL. Family dentist in Wilmington

One of the things you want to be certain of before you visit any type of dentist is that you have a means of making payments in a way that works for you. The team at Sunshine Children’s Dentistry tries to make this easy by accepting all types of payments, including a dentist office that accepts Medicaid. Finding a dentist's office that accepts Medicaid can help you in a variety of ways, starting with your finances.

Just like we focus on making the dentist experience for kids positive and stress-free, we want to do the same for our parents that visit the office. Being a dentist office that accepts Medicaid helps to fill in that checkbox for parents, giving an extra payment option outside of standard dental insurance. Working with our team, including Dr. Fry and Dr. Bradley, will hopefully give you ample options so you can end up with a positive financial experience and result in our office.

We want to make sure that your family receives the highest quality dental care. That’s why Wilmington Kids Dentist does everything we can to make coming to our dental office affordable.

We accept most dental insurance plans, including:

  • Medicaid
  • Health Choice
  • Aetna
  • Careington

  • MetLife
  • United Healthcare

… and many more!

If you don’t see your insurance plan listed above, please give us a call at (910) 442-3443. We will let you know whether or not you’re in our network!

Learning About Insurance

When you come to Wilmington Kids Dentist, please know that our office does not determine which benefits you receive from your insurance company. Insurance companies have their own policies, set their own schedules, and they determine which fees they deem acceptable. Wilmington Kids Dentist will file claims on your behalf in order to save you time and hassle.

By law, insurance companies are required to pay each claim within 30 days of receipt. At Wilmington Kids Dentist, all of our insurance claims are filed electronically, so your insurance company will receive the claim within a few days of treatment. We will collect from you whatever your insurance company is not expected to pay during your appointment. If your insurance company does not pay the claim after 30 days, you are financially responsible. We are more than happy to refund you once your insurance company has reimbursed us.

It is important to remember that insurance does not always cover 100% of the cost of all procedures. Most of the time, insurance will only cover about 50%-80% of the total fee. We will provide the expected out-of-pocket costs when your child’s treatment plan is reviewed with you.

YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.
