How often do you drain a Black and Decker portable air conditioner?

It depends on the humidity condition at your place. In general, portable air conditioners should be drained after every 8 hours.

Why is my Black and Decker portable AC not cooling?

The most common cause of a portable AC not cooling a room is lack of adequate airflow. If the air filter is dirty or clogged, there may not be enough air flowing over the evaporator coils and the coils can become too cold and frost over. This restricts airflow and a portable AC won't cool the room.

Do I need to drain water from my portable air conditioner?

Yes. All portable AC units accumulate moisture and need to be drained regularly. AC units both cool and reduce humidity. Gathered water needs to be drained.
