When Ford decided to start manufacturing vehicles that utilized the Engine Start-Stop (ESS) feature, they chose not to include a way to permanently disable the auto start-stop. So if you want to drive without the engine stopping at every stoplight, you are forced to manually push the auto start-stop button to disable this feature, every time you start your vehicle. We, like you, found this to be a bit annoying and frustrating. Why should you, or anybody else, be forced to remember to turn something off, every single time you turn on your vehicle? Installation of this product would be rated a 2 out of 5. 1 being extremely easy and 5 being extremely difficult. It is recommended prior to installing any automotive electronics that the negative battery terminal be disconnected.

  The install took all of 6 minutes and mostly because I was watching the video as I was installing. Worked perfect 1st try even with my aftermarket auto start. The best in the business and always early on getting their stuff tested and out on the market!!!

  Received, and installed. Hardest part was unhooking the on/off switch plug. The latch on it is a little awkward to get to, but everything seems to be working. Thank you!

  Excellent engineering solution.. the state of start/stop button is memorized inline, right in the circuit.. No need to the program port. Easy installation.
